23.5 miles and 1507ft of ascent. John P and Anne to lead. On country lanes, North of the A303 just past Stonehenge. A circular route from near Bulford, up the Avon valley across to Ludgershall returning south of Tidworth to Bulford The start is the lay-by at the junction of Bulford Road and Bulford Droveway, the nearest postcode is SP4 9BU which is a little before the junction, Departure time is 1.00pm there is no café or lunch stop planned, we recommend a picnic lunch beforehand. gpx file:-

Leaving Salisbury we have a brief visit to Old Sarum (a ‘rotten borough’ and where the OS was invented) then east following the path of the roman road to the Test valley. Three valleys, after meeting win Wilton we go up the Wylye Valley to Wylye over the down to Dinton and the Nadder Valley from there we go over to the third valley – the Ebble Valley and follow this back to Salisbury (with a short cut available for campers). gpx file:-
